Product Overview

The FlexIR CAP-B Series for non-segmented bus bar system is a large-format combination of infrared, visual, and ultraviolet inspection windows specifically designed for the power generation and large power user market. The bolted window design also acts as an access port for repairs, as it can be easily removed to allow the engineer access to repair the fault.

Once refitted, the bus bar system can be re-energized and the repaired joint can be inspected to confirm that the repair was effective and reliability is achieved.

The following sizes are available: CAP-B-24 (24″ Rectangular), CAP-B-12 (12″ Rectangular), CAP-B-6 (6″ Rectangular).

  • Unparalleled Field of View
    Unlike the round infrared windows the large format IRISS CAP-B Series and custom infrared windows have a far superior field of view. The CAP-B Series has a large FOV which gives the thermographer the ability of infinite viewing angles inside the switchgear.
  • Customizable
    There is no such thing as a standard IR inspection so why should there only be a standard IR Window? IRISS is the only IR window manufacturer with solutions for unique applications.
  • UL Listed
    Large format replacement panels like the CAP-B Series are now UL Listed replacement components (UL File E 491496). The CAP-B Series has an oversize Field of View (FOV) giving the thermographer infinite viewing angles within the bus system.
