The VP-12-IR’s 12mm viewing area was designed for tight areas or for use with infrared (IR) cameras with smaller, wider-angle lens systems. While the VP-12-IR is small in size, it is still big in features.
The polymer lens material and switchgear grade plastics assure compliance by maintaining an IP65/NEMA 4 seal, whether open or closed. With the smaller footprint of the VP-12-IR, it could be the answer for providing thermographers access to more challenging areas. This will allow monitoring of equipment that would not have been possible with a larger window.
